ACT: Execute in 90-Day Cycles. The transition from adoption to orchestration should not be attempted as a single transformation program. Instead, it should follow a phased approach aligned with 90-day action cycles:
- Cycle 1 (Days 1-90): Complete the AI asset inventory, select the orchestration architecture, and identify the first three high-value workflows for orchestration.
- Cycle 2 (Days 91-180): Deploy the orchestration layer for the initial workflows, establish governance protocols, and measure baseline business outcomes.
- Cycle 3 (Days 181-270): Expand orchestration to additional workflows, refine governance based on operational data, and begin decommissioning redundant point solutions.
Each cycle follows the Design-Execute-Evaluate rhythm: seven days of design, sixty-seven days of execution, and sixteen days of evaluation and harvesting.
The Competitive Consequence
Organizations that master AI orchestration gain compounding advantages over those still operating in the Adoption Era. Each orchestrated workflow generates data that improves the next workflow.
